Activities
There are number of activities carried out by the organization in different projects of the programmed as listed below.
Current activities
· Advocacy on child welfare issues.
· Networking with women and child care organization
· Voluntary HIV counseling and guidance of HIV victims plus their guardians
Other intended activities
· Promotion of information exchange in order to increase awareness of
the public, communities, NGOs and individuals about the plight, needs and rights of vulnerable children through
production of Advocacy materials and networking.
· Influence Attitudes, Habits and practices of communities in
favour of children's welfare through production of Newsletters
,contributing articles to existing periodicals.
· There is to be a resource mobilization activity where BUCOBAC
will assist sustainable community based initiatives so as to enhance
their capacities by accessing them to donor funds so as to enable them
carry out income generating activities (projects) to support vulnerable
women and children .
· BUCOBAC will directly contribute to the achievement of
improved protection for children in especially difficult circumstances
such as those living with HIV/AIDS and those orphaned by AIDS .
Some areas of intervention include:
Þ Home visits and Home based care for HIV/AIDS patients.
Þ Creating scholarship funds for AIDS Orphans .
Þ Create Vocational Training Skills aimed at empowering of school
especially orphans to be both self reliant and useful citizens.
